The first time I saw a midget, a person of unusually short stature, I was shocked. How can an adult be so short? (I am short, but a midget is shorter, like a dwarf). The unusual phenomenon can be medically explained. But do you know that many followers of Jesus are also "dwarfs", not in stature but in spirit? Do you remember the song we used to sing when we were in preschool?

They saw the waves rising higher and higher; the boat that they were in was tossed here and there by the raging tempest; and water was getting inside the boat. They were frightened but Jesus was sleeping soundly. The disciples who could no longer stand their fright woke Jesus up from his sleep. “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” Jesus arose from his sleep and with one word He calmed the tempest.
